About it
Most of the fur on your sofa started as loose undercoat. A few short sessions a week with a slicker brush catches it before it lands around the house.
When the pins are full, press the button: the pins retract and the fur slides off in one piece, straight into the trash. Brush with the direction of the coat, keep sessions short, and stop if your pet's skin looks irritated.

Questions
How often should I use it?
Two or three short sessions a week during heavy shedding is plenty. Overuse can irritate skin.
Will it hurt my pet?
Use light pressure and brush with the coat. If your pet's skin turns red, stop and brush less often.
How do I clean it?
Press the button and wipe the fur off. Rinse the head if needed and let it dry.
